From the very first moment we met Dan—and spotted those adorable floppy ears—we knew he was going to be an angel of a hound. He has lived up to every expectation and more.

Dan is an incredibly social boy, both with people and other hounds. He truly gets along with everyone he meets.
At the moment, he is sharing his kennel with Jinx, who had recently been feeling quite down and withdrawn. She needed a friend to brighten her days, and Dan has been just that.
His kind and understanding nature brought comfort to her almost immediately, and Jinx took to him and his lovely personality straight away. It’s just another reminder of how special this sweet boy is.
We’re confident that Dan would be more than happy sharing his forever home with another hound or two. He genuinely enjoys their company and the sense of companionship they bring.
However, Dan is also very independent and adores his humans, so we’re just as certain that he would thrive as the only dog in the home—happily soaking up all the love and attention for himself.
Dan is a big fan of humans, big and small. He would be perfectly happy living alongside older children, teenagers, and adults. He’s playful and gentle, and we know he’d love to have little humans to cuddle and enjoy life with.
That said, his calm, easy-going nature would also make him the perfect match for a quieter, adult-only home. He’s so adaptable and relaxed that we know he’ll settle into a wide range of homes with ease—he’s just that incredible of a dog.
During his dog test with Blossom, Dan was, once again, absolute perfection. He was friendly, well-mannered, and completely at ease.
The two of them clicked instantly and became best friends in no time. They walked side by side, happy and content, showing just how naturally social and gentle Dan is.
This boy truly is something special. With his gentle charm, loving heart, and laid-back nature, he has a way of wrapping you around his paw without even trying.
He is the perfect companion, and whoever is lucky enough to welcome him home is in for a lifetime of love, laughter, and cuddles.
