Being a little older, Genie loves his peace and quiet after a nice morning walk. Napping is one of his greatest talents – he’s a true pro at snoozing! We just know there’s a forever sofa out there with his name written all over it.

Genie is a little unsure about traffic, something we’re gently helping him with. We carried out a calm and positive car test, allowing him to watch passing cars from a safe and relaxed spot.
His uncertainty is completely understandable – at nearly 7 years old, he’s never seen life beyond the kennels. This is just a small part of him, and one that will improve with time, patience, and plenty of tasty treats – something we’ve already started working on.
Genie is a quick learner, and as long as he has his humans guiding him with love and reassurance, he’ll feel confident in no time.
Genie is super friendly with both humans and greyhounds alike. He absolutely adores his kennel mate Breeze and would happily share his forever home with another hound or two.
That said, he’s an independent boy too, and would be just as content as the only dog in the home. As long as he has his humans close by, Genie will be a very happy boy – his wish is simply to feel loved and safe.
Genie would prefer to live alongside older dog-savvy children, teenagers or adults. Being on the older side, he enjoys a peaceful lifestyle where he can snooze to his heart’s content. Any children in the home would need to understand when Genie wants his space and respect his quiet time.
He’d also be perfectly suited to an adult-only home, where he could be the centre of his humans’ world – a role he would gladly take on with pride.
During his dog test, Genie was nothing short of magical. He was well-mannered, gentle and calm around Blossom, and the two of them walked up the road together side-by-side, almost touching, as if they’d known each other forever. They bonded straight away, and we couldn’t have been prouder of how friendly and social he was.
Genie is a kind-hearted, gentle-natured soul who loves unconditionally. All he needs now is to find his forever humans, so he can finally enjoy his retirement on a cosy sofa – one that he can call his own.
