He doesn’t rely on other hounds for company—he’s confident in himself, grounded, and not easily phased by anything life throws his way. As long as he has his people close by for cuddles and comfort, Patch is more than happy.
He would happily live with older children, teenagers, and adults in his forever home. While Patch is very friendly and social with all humans, a home with young children wouldn’t be the best match, simply because he enjoys having space to chill out and relax in his own time.
That said, he would love a little human friend to play with when the time feels right. He would also be just as content in an adult-only home where life is calm and laid-back.
Patch is one of our more adaptable hounds, and we know he’ll slot beautifully into a range of different home environments. His easy-going, go-with-the-flow nature is such a lovely trait to have, and it gives us real confidence that the perfect match for him is out there.
During his dog test, Patch was the picture of perfection. You honestly couldn’t ask for a more polite and well-mannered boy. He was completely relaxed and comfortable around Blossom, and the two of them trotted up the road together with no problems at all. Patch was calm, happy, and social throughout—and it was clear just how well he can mix when needed.
