Ringo is a truly special boy who has captured all of our hearts here at Clark’s Farm. Although he isn’t currently available for rehoming, we wanted to share his story so that he can find a wonderful forever home filled with love when he's ready.
When Ringo arrived, he had an injury to his front leg that needed further investigation. After X-rays, our vet recommended two months of strict rest to allow his leg to heal properly.
Despite the challenges, Ringo has been an absolute star throughout his recovery. His progress so far has been fantastic, and the vet is very happy with how he’s doing. While he won’t be able to go on long walks or do high-energy activities, Ringo will soon be ready for gentle, relaxed strolls with his future humans.
What makes Ringo so special isn’t just his resilience, but his incredible personality. Even when the other hounds go out for their walks, Ringo waits patiently, soaking up the attention we give him without a single complaint.
He truly is the best boy, and we are so proud of him. Ringo is a loving, sweet-natured soul with a heart of gold and his kind, gentle nature makes him absolutely irresistible.
This wonderful boy spends most of his time curled up fast asleep, but as his leg has healed, we’ve started to see glimpses of his playful and cheeky side. Watching his personality shine through has been such a joy!
Ringo is always ready to share cuddles and kisses, and his love for life is contagious. It’s impossible not to smile when you’re around him.
Since Ringo has been with us a little longer, he’s formed deep bonds with our team. His face lights up with happiness whenever he realises he’s about to get some attention, and his tail never stops wagging. He thrives on love and affection, and his joy in receiving fuss is so heartwarming.
Ringo continues to amaze us with his calm and gentle nature, even with the challenges he’s faced. He has been back and forth to the vets countless times during his recovery, and each visit has shown what an exceptional boy he is.
Ringo travels like a dream and behaves perfectly at the vets, taking everything in his stride. He seems to know that as long as his humans are by his side, everything will be just fine.
While Ringo hasn’t had a formal dog test yet due to his recovery, he has met many dogs of all shapes and sizes during his vet visits, and he is always friendly and polite.
Watching him light up when he sees other dogs is truly heartwarming, and it reassures us that he will get along wonderfully with other breeds. We’re confident that when the time comes, he will pass his dog test with flying colours.
At the moment, Ringo is kennelled alone to give him the quiet and rest he needs, and he handles it beautifully. He’s an independent boy who is happy in his own company and doesn’t rely on other dogs for confidence.
That said, Ringo is a social and friendly hound, and we believe he would thrive in a home with another calm greyhound companion, provided they share his gentle, laid-back energy.
Ringo’s ideal home would be one with adults, older children, or teenagers who understand his needs. He loves humans big and small, but because of the sensitivity in his leg, he would do best in a home without very young children who may not understand his limits.
A retired couple looking for a relaxed, loving companion or a family who values gentle strolls over long hikes would be a perfect match for him. Whoever welcomes Ringo into their home will gain the most wonderful companion – truly a dog in a million.
Ringo has overcome so much in his journey, and now, all that’s left is for him to fully recover and find his perfect forever home.
Until then, we’ll continue to shower him with the love and care he deserves. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt this amazing boy will gain a best friend for life. Could that be you?
