REHOME Robin

Meet Robin – our handsome little songbird with a heart of gold. Robin is a kind and gentle soul with the most loving nature, an old soul, and a truly special spark about him.

Calm, affectionate, and quietly charming, he’s happiest when he’s nestled up with his favourite humans, soaking in all the cuddles and love they have to offer.

With his laid-back demeanour and sweet, silly bursts of playfulness, he brings the perfect balance of peace and joy to every moment.

Robin is your typical male greyhound in the best way – chilled, gentle, and very much a people-lover. He adores his naps, loves a fuss, and enjoys nothing more than a relaxed day with his trusted humans.

But don’t let his chilled-out ways fool you – he’s got a cheeky, playful side that flutters out in bursts, and when it does, you can’t help but smile. He truly does know how to lift your spirits.

With his handsome face and lovable personality, it’s no surprise Robin has become a firm staff favourite – he’s truly captured all of our hearts.

What makes Robin so special is the quiet way he builds trust. He may come across a little reserved at first, choosing to take his time to get to know you. He doesn’t reveal his whole personality straight away – instead, he waits until he feels safe and understood.

But once you’re in his special circle of humans, you’re there for life. His love runs deep, and the bond he forms is something truly meaningful.

His loyalty, kindness, and sweet nature shine through in everything he does – Robin doesn’t give his love freely, but when he does, it’s like being chosen by something truly precious.

Robin brings comfort, calm, and quiet joy to everyone lucky enough to know him. He’s a true gentleman, full of love and gentle affection, and he makes you feel safe just by being near.

With his sweet soul and soft, loving heart, he’s nothing short of exceptional – a real hidden gem. We know he’s going to change someone’s life for the better.

Robin came into retirement due to a broken hock, so it’s important to know he’ll need a little care when it comes to exercise. He’ll need to build up slowly to longer walks and should avoid being over-exercised, as he may come up lame if pushed too far.

It’s nothing to worry about day-to-day, but it’s something to keep in mind – he’s more suited to shorter strolls and gentle adventures. He’ll still love his potters and exploring with his humans, just at a steadier pace. A calm, mindful approach to exercise will help keep this sweet boy feeling his best.

Robin gets along brilliantly with his greyhound friends and previously shared his kennel with Kiera, whom he adored. He’s shown us he’s very happy sharing his space and would love to have a gentle female hound as a companion in his forever home.

That said, he’s currently kennelled alone and is perfectly content – he has an independent side and would be just as happy soaking up the attention as the only dog. Whether solo or sharing, this little songbird will settle as long as he feels safe and loved.

When Robin first arrived, his trainer let us know that he can feel anxious and overwhelmed in certain situations – for example, he found a vet visit particularly stressful, which may be linked to memories of his injury.

Like many dogs, he might associate pain with certain environments, and that’s completely understandable. However, since joining us, he’s settled in like an absolute dream. He’s shown no signs of worry or distress – just a calm, content and happy boy who takes each day as it comes.

Because of his gentle and sensitive nature, we feel Robin would be best suited to an adult-only home or one with very mature and understanding teenagers.

He’s not a dog who would thrive in a loud or busy household – he needs a calm, relaxed environment where he can enjoy company but also have space when he wants it. A peaceful home where he can quietly perch beside his favourite humans is exactly what he deserves.

During his dog test, Robin was good as gold. He was calm, gentle, and beautifully well-mannered around Blossom. After a lovely hello and some polite sniffs, the two walked side by side up the road, completely relaxed and happy in each other’s company. It was such a heartwarming sight – a perfect example of the kind, quiet soul he is.

Robin is a truly special boy – calm, sensitive, and full of love. We know he’s going to make the most perfect addition to a peaceful and loving home.

If you’re looking for a companion who will bring quiet joy, gentle loyalty, and warmth to your life, Robin is ready to fly into your heart.

All he needs now is a cosy perch to call his own and someone to love him as much as he’ll love them.
