Sprinkles is a friendly and outgoing hound who would thrive in a home filled with love and understanding. She would do wonderfully in a household with older dog-savvy children, teenagers, and adults who can match her gentle yet playful personality. Being 5 years old, Sprinkles enjoys her downtime and prefers to laze around during the day, which means a home with very young children might not be the best fit for her.
That said, during “meet the breed” appointments, Sprinkles has shown she’s comfortable and happy around little humans, so she could thrive in the right family dynamic. Equally, Sprinkles would be content in an adult-only home, basking in all the attention and love her humans can offer.
Sprinkles is an adaptable hound who could fit into a variety of environments. She has shared her time here with a few kennel mates and has always gotten along beautifully with the other greyhounds. Her social nature shines through when she’s around her hound friends, and we’re confident she’d happily share her forever home with another dog or two.
However, Sprinkles is also a confident and independent girl who doesn’t rely on other dogs for reassurance, so she would be equally happy as the only hound in her new home, soaking up all the love for herself. She is the perfect topping to make any home complete!
During her dog test, Sprinkles was a little overexcited and eager when meeting Blossom. Her initial enthusiasm was simply a mix of curiosity and excitement. With a little time and plenty of sniffs, she settled down and understood that Blossom was just another dog.
Now that Sprinkles has settled more into her environment, we are certain that with some basic training, extra guidance, and her natural intelligence, she’ll become calmer and more confident when meeting new dogs.
This small quirk shouldn’t overshadow the many wonderful qualities Sprinkles has to offer—her playful enthusiasm is just another part of her bright and loving personality.
