Swiper is an extraordinary hound, and it’s no exaggeration to say he’s nothing short of perfection. This gentle, sweet-souled boy has one of the kindest hearts we’ve ever encountered, and he’s an absolute treasure in the kennels.
Swiper is super chill and impeccably behaved, making him one of the easiest and most delightful hounds to care for. You’ll never hear a sound from him – he waits patiently for his turn, keeps his kennel spotless, and is always calm. We do not doubt that this calm, well-mannered nature will carry over beautifully into his forever home.
Swiper truly has it all, and anyone lucky enough to meet him will quickly see he’s the whole package—a perfect companion ready to bring love and companionship into any home.
His easy-going nature makes him happiest when he’s lazing around, content to nap the day away after a fun walk or a playful moment. Being Swiper is hard work, and he knows how to balance life’s pleasures with well-deserved rest!
Swiper is also incredibly social and friendly, forming bonds easily with both humans and other dogs alike. There’s not a single bad bone in his body, he genuinely loves being surrounded by his human friends and greyhound companions, radiating warmth and affection to everyone he meets.
From the moment Swiper arrived, it was as if he’d always been a part of the family here at Clark’s Farm. He fit right in, winning over the staff with his loving nature and gentle spirit. It was love at first sight for all of us—Swiper’s kind, calming energy and his ability to connect with people are qualities that simply make you feel at ease.
One of the things that makes Swiper truly special is his deep sensitivity toward the people around him. That kind of empathy is rare, and it’s a gift that Swiper naturally brings to everyone he meets.
He’s an absolute gem, a bright light with a gentle, comforting presence that anyone would be lucky to have in their life. We’re all a bit amazed that no one has yet come forward for this exceptional boy—Swiper is waiting, ready to bring his love, loyalty, and gentle companionship into a home that will appreciate every wonderful thing he has to offer.
Swiper recently joined us for our Halloween Walk down at the promenade, and he was a superstar. Swiper took it all in stride, remaining calm, happy, and completely at ease. Swiper truly has a way of making every experience peaceful and enjoyable—his gentle nature shines through in everything he does.
One of the ways we know just how special Swiper has come from his time with Amber, one of our long-stay residents. Amber can be quite selective with her kennel mates, but she quickly warmed up to Swiper, sensing his calm and patient demeanour.
Swiper was so polite and understanding, taking the time to earn her trust without rushing, and the two of them became fast friends. This just shows how easily Swiper can win over anyone he meets, and we know he’ll do the same with his forever family.
While Swiper would love to have other greyhound companions in his forever home, he’d be just as content being the only dog, soaking up all the love and attention from his humans.
With his gentle and calm nature, Swiper would do beautifully in a family with children. He’s patient, loving, and kind, with a heart full of warmth, and we can picture him fitting right into a family dynamic, bringing joy to everyone around him.
Swiper also has the unique ability to instantly put people at ease, making him an ideal candidate for a therapy dog. He has a soothing, caring energy that comforts those around him, and we know he can bring a lot of happiness to people who need it. Whether in a family home or with adults only, Swiper will be happy as long as he has the love and companionship of his humans.
During his first dog test, Swiper was a bit confused about meeting Blossom, but that was shortly after he arrived, and it was all quite new for him. Recently, however, Swiper had another dog test with Blossom, and it was a completely different experience. He was polite, friendly, and more comfortable, enjoying a nice walk alongside her. With continued positive socialisation in his forever home, Swiper will thrive.
Swiper is everything you could ever want in a greyhound. He will undoubtedly change his forever family’s life for the better, bringing joy and companionship into their home.
